What will it be like to work together?

My approach to therapy is warm, curious and person-centered. I believe in the transformative power of relationships and view therapy as a collaborative process. In therapy, we will work together to explore your experiences, emotions, and relationships in a connected and supportive environment. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in authenticity, curiosity, and compassion.

In the beginning of therapy, I will ask questions that help me better understand you and your experiences. I will work with you at a pace that feels manageable to recognize what isn’t working in your life and explore possibilities that might bring relief. As we get to know one another, we might begin to identify patterns in your relationships, behaviors, or feelings. With curiosity, I will help you understand these patterns more deeply and shift what isn’t serving you.

My Approach

  • Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic therapy is rooted in the belief that our past experiences inform our present. Through psychodynamic therapy, we can explore early relational experiences and get curious about how they might be impacting you today. This increased insight can lead to profound change in your relationship to yourself and others.

  • Relational

Relational therapy helps us explore relational patterns that we engage in, both consciously and unconsciously. In my practice, this means that I show up authentically and honestly to each session with you. It means I will share my reflections with you thoughtfully and with warmth. It also means that I will offer space to check in about how therapy is going to ensure that we are working towards what is important to you.

  • Social Justice Oriented

My practice is rooted in the belief that the identities we hold and the systems we navigate greatly shape our experiences in life. I offer space for you to bring your whole self to therapy and be curious about how your identities shape your experiences. This also means that I approach therapy through a harm-reduction, feminist and queer-focused lens.
